Paramedic Eure Retires

Paramedic Peter C. Eure, “Skip” to his friends and colleagues, worked his final shift at Wake Co EMS Division today.  Skip is retiring with 27 years of service.

On his retirement, Skip stated ” Nearly 27 years ago, Richard Hardin called and invited me to apply for a job working with Wake County EMS.  Those years have flow by.  Further he stated, “It is with mixed emotions that I leave this place that I have known as my home away from home and from the friends and coworkers I have considered my second family.  It has truly been an honor to be part of it.”

Skip is best known for driving in for work from Greenville N.C., and for his “piddling” around the station.  One minute he would be standing next to you and the next he would be outside waxing the ambulance.

From all of us in the Wake County EMS System, we thank you for your service and dedication and we wish you the best of luck.
